Meet Kat – Owner of Göt Hair Midtown
Kat is the creative force behind Göt Hair Midtown — a vibrant, inclusive space where education, growth, and individuality take center stage. With 15 years behind the chair, Kat brings a wealth of experience, a passion for weird and wonderful styles, and a deep love for community-building in the beauty industry.
As a stylist, mentor, and proud parent to one wild two-year-old, Kat knows the importance of balancing creativity with real life. Their vision for Göt Hair Midtown is simple: create a salon where people feel seen, supported, and inspired — whether you’re a client, a stylist, or just swinging by for the vibe.
At Göt Hair, it’s not just about great hair (though we’re really good at that)– it’s about learning, growing, and celebrating what makes each of us unique — with a little glitter and chaos along the way.

Meghan is amazing, she always listens to exactly what I want and always executes it perfect. I get so many compliments on my hair all the time. I can’t recommend her enough. If you want to be complimented all the time on your hair, have an artist that makes you feel like you are hanging out with your best friend, is extremely talented, and has created an environment where everyone feels safe and invited, then treat yourself by going to Meghan you seriously will ask yourself why you didn’t go sooner. Side perk she is also great at make up too, she did a full beat on my face, eyelashes included that had me walking around feeling like I was a super model. All I have to say is treat yourself and go to Göt Hair!

I came in and was immediately asked for my pronouns which I know should be bare minimum but we all know that it rarely happens so that was really nice. I am queer and non-binary so being able to have my hair cut in a lgbtq+ safe environment is so nice. Erin took such good care of me and my hair turned out perfect. I’m so happy. If you are looking for a safe place who will listen to what you want and just be so kind and warming this is the perfect place for you. AND I found this place during pride month so what perfect timing <3

McKenna is the sweetest person ever and very communicative about everything she’s doing and why/the importance. She took my damaged brassy hair to a cool toned light brown/blonde which is exactly what I was wanting. I love how she wasn’t afraid to ask the opinion of other stylists but was also confident in her own skills and process. I was also recommended some products, and my hair feels so much healthier now and the color is way better. The overall experience was so fun and I felt like I was in great hands!
